The next big thing of Australian cricket only continues to star, with Sophie Molineux.

The 25-year-old took on the reins of the captaincy last WBBL and more than impressed, leading the Renegades back into the WBBL finals after finishing seventh the year before.

A foundation Renegade and the club’s games record holder, Molineux has played 87 WBBL matches since making her debut as a teenager in WBBL|01. She has gone on to represent Australia on 38 occasions across all three formats in that period and is a two-time ICC T20 World Cup winner.

Now appointed as the captain of Victoria for the WNCL season, Molineux will be looking to forge her name as a staple of Victorian cricket.
