Dixon, who made his Big Bash League debut in BBL|14, has committed to the Renegades until the end of BBL|16, continuing his journey with the team that provided him with his first opportunity at the elite level.
The 19-year-old left-handed bat has already showcased his immense potential, making a name for himself as a hard-hitting batter and a rising star of Australian cricket in a number of brilliant performances for Australia’s U19 side.
He earned his Big Bash debut against the Stars at Marvel Stadium earlier this month and played three games.
“I’m really excited to have re-signed with the Renegades,” Dixon said.
“Getting the chance to debut in the Big Bash this season was a dream come true, and I’m looking forward to building on that experience.
“We have such a talented group of players here and I’m eager to keep working hard, improving my game, and contributing to the team’s success in the next few seasons.”
Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said Dixon’s re-signing was a key move for the club’s future.
“Harry is one of the most promising young players in Australian cricket, and we’re delighted that he’s committed to the Renegades for the next two seasons,” Rosengarten said.
“He’s already shown his talent at the international youth level and we were thrilled to see him rewarded for his patience and hard work with his debut this season.
“We see Harry as a long-term player for us and we’re excited to watch what he can achieve.”
