One of the most promising youngsters plying her trade in the WBBL, Ella Hayward has turned plenty of heads during her short time at the state level.
A talented off-spinning allrounder, Hayward has appeared 19 WBBL matches over her first two seasons, including 11 last year.
The emerging Victorian off-spinner was given plenty of responsibility by captain Sophie Molineux and coach Simon Helmot, trusted to bowl in the power play and to the opposition’s best players.
A proud Jawoyn woman, Hayward was one of five Indigenous players in the WBBL last summer – quickly establishing herself as a regular member of the Renegades’ line-up while completing her Year 12 VCE exams on the road with the team.
