Tom Rogers has been recognised for his outstanding BBL|14 campaign, taking out the Melbourne Renegades' BBL Player of the Season award.
Accolades keep rolling for Rogers
Renegades members voted Rogers as their most valuable player, acknowledging his crucial role in leading the bowling attack and delivering match-winning performances throughout the tournament.
The 31-year-old seamer was acknowledged at Thursday night's Cricket Victoria and State Big Bash Awards in Melbourne.
Rogers was a key weapon for the Renegades, finishing the season with 16 wickets—equal second in the race for the Big Bash Golden Arm as well as spot in the BBL Team of the Tournament.
Rogers’ influence wasn’t limited to the ball, with his all-round ability shining through in key moments. Who could forget his unforgettable match-winning heroics in Perth, where he guided the Renegades to victory with a crucial knock under pressure?
With three Player of the Match performances across the season, Rogers once again proved his value as a match-winner with both bat and ball.
"A big thank you to the members for recognising me for this award, it's a huge honour," Rogers said.
"I'm incredibly proud to be a Renegades player and have been since I signed on, I feel really welcomed in our organisation and very well supported to go out there and perform."
Rogers continues to be a vital part of the Renegades' squad as they look to build towards another strong campaign in BBL|15.
