The Melbourne Renegades have added a talented paceman to the mix for the rest of BBL|14, signing Victorian quick Sam Elliott.
Gades sign Victorian quick
Elliott, 24, is familiar to the Big Bash and has put together a strong run of form in the domestic competition to lead the wickets tally with 12 for the summer.
Elliott made headlines earlier this year with a standout performance for Victoria in the Marsh One-Day Cup, where he claimed 7/12 against Tasmania.
His ability to swing the ball both ways has earmarked him as an emerging bowler and he gets his chance to help Renegades keep its season alive with two games left of the regular season.
Elliot comes in as a replacement player for Gurinder Sandhu who will miss a second consecutive game with a calf issue.
Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said Elliott's form this season has been impressive and will be a valuable addition to the squad.
“Sam has shown he has the skill and composure to make an impact at the highest level," Rosengarten said.
"His performance for Victoria earlier this year was outstanding, and we’re excited to see him bring that form into the Big Bash."
