SQUAD: Gades make one change for MCG Derby

The Melbourne Renegades have made one change to their playing squad for Saturday night's cross-town showdown.

Xavier Crone makes his way into the 14-player squad for Fergus O'Neill.

Crone, a promising fast bowler, joined the Renegades ahead of BBL|14 after strong performances for Victoria in the domestic formats.

His summer has been superb, taking 15 wickets at Shield level, as well as a crucial half-century in his first red ball game of the season.

Armed with pace and accuracy, Crone bolsters a squad which has secured two wins at the halfway mark of the club's BBL|14 campaign.

Despite recent setbacks against the Thunder and Strikers, the Renegades remain confident they can bounce back given the calibre of players in that lineup.

Josh Brown is one who was at his destructive best on Thursday night against Adelaide, blasting 66 from 41 balls. The opener will be looking for a double dose to ignite the MCG crowd.

The final XI will be confirmed at the bat flip.
