The Melbourne Renegades are thrilled to announce the signing of English all-rounder Grace Scrivens as a replacement international player.
Scrivens lands at Renegades
Scrivens, 21, steps in for Alice Capsey who has been included in England's squad for their tour of South Africa.
Scrivens, a versatile player from Kent, has made significant strides in her cricketing career.
She's led the title-winning Sunrisers' run scoring in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for the past two seasons, performances which earned her the captaincy honours.
Her 2024 season of the The Hundred with Trent Rockets was also impressive, scoring 157 runs in her eight appearances as opener including a half-century.
On the international stage, Scrivens played a massive role in England's 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup campaign. She was her side's leading run scorer, amassing 293 runs at an average of 41.85 and taking 9 wickets, and was awarded Player of the Tournament.
"The Melbourne Renegades would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Alice for her contribution on and off the field this season. She's made a huge impression and impact on our squad and we'll all be watching her do her thing for England in their upcoming tour," Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said.
"We're excited to welcome Grace into the group ahead of a huge period for us as we aim to secure our place in this year's finals series. Her recent success in The Hundred and her aggressive game style make her a valuable addition to the squad."
