Coyte to lead Renegades squad in Spring Challenge
Coyte, who is preparing for her third season with the Renegades and 10th season of her domestic career, will lead an impressive contingent boasting eight Renegades contracted players in the four-game series beginning on Friday in Adelaide.
"I've been looking forward to the Spring Challenge since it was announced and to pull on red again as captain for a few games is something I'm really excited for," Coyte said.
"Can't wait to have the group together. Some familiar faces which is great to see but some new faces which is exciting for the dynamic of the group. It's a great opportunity to put some players in different situations and to have them play different roles. And also a great opportunity for some of us to get some good WBBL prep in."
Coyte's prep for the WBBL season, alongside her Gades teammates, has been well underway with the WNCL season kicking off last week.
Coyte will reunite with Courtney Webb, Georgia Prestwidge, Emma de Broughe, Ella Hayward and Sara Kennedy as well as new teammates in red Nicole Faltum, Milly Illingworth and Naomi Stalenberg who arrived at the Renegades this offseason.

Kennedy, Gardner, Davidge, Dulvin and Leishman will play key roles for the Renegades' in the tournament in the absence of the Renegades' internationals who are playing at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in the Untied Arab Emirates.
The Gades kick off their T20 Spring Challenge campaign with a double header against the Hobart Hurricanes on Friday and Perth Scorchers on Saturday at Adelaide's Karen Rolton Oval.
