The Melbourne Renegades are ready to launch into an exciting Big Bash campaign following the release of the BBL|14 fixture on Friday.
Renegades primed for BBL|14
The club's passionate supporters will be offered a front row seat to the best show in cricket at Marvel Stadium and GMHBA Stadium, with two of the most exciting and biggest hitters in the game, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Josh Brown, partnering for the first time.
The Renegades' BBL|14 home opener is locked in GMHBA Stadium where they’ll take on the Hobart Hurricanes on December 19 from 7.15pm (local time) in the first of five home matches for the new season.

The Renegades will then look to defend its Marvel Stadium turf in massive fixtures against quality interstate opposition in the Perth Scorchers (December 23) and Adelaide Strikers (January 2).
Melbournians will get a double dose of derby when the Renegades venture to the MCG to take on their archrivals Melbourne Stars (January 4) before a second-round bout at Marvel Stadium (January 12).
Brown then comes up against his old side in the Brisbane Heat in the Renegades' final home game of the campaign (January 18).
Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said:
“We couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming Big Bash season and the opportunity this fixture presents our playing group and delivers for our passionate supporter base,"
"Our new-look playing group is shaping up nicely - we can't wait to see Jake Fraser-McGurk and new recruit, Josh Brown, batting in red together. Both finished last year's season at the top of their game and it'll be exciting to see what they can do with the bat together this year.
"We were very keen to start our BBL|14 home games in Geelong – and then we host four huge home games at Marvel Stadium. These will be great entertainment events under the roof of Marvel Stadium and will include games against the Perth Scorchers and reigning BBL champs Brisbane Heat.
"Of course, we always look forward to hosting the Melbourne Stars in one of two massive Melbourne Derbies. This rivalry is growing every season and the teams are pretty excited to match up together twice this season and battle it out to be best in Melbourne."
Scott Fitzgerald - General Manager Marvel Stadium, said:
“The Renegades have called Marvel Stadium home since 2011, and we are excited to once again host four games across BBL 14.”
“The summer of cricket will be in full swing, and this season Renegade and cricket fans will be able to enjoy the newly redeveloped areas of Marvel Stadium including new restaurants & bars, plus our new Stadium Rooftop will be a hit across the summer months.”
Gerard Griffin, CEO, Kardinia Park Stadium Trust, said:
“Kardinia Park Stadium Trust looks forward to hosting the Renegades to kick-off their season and make up for the disappointment of last year.”
