Renegades ready to launch with WBBL|10 fixture drop

The Melbourne Renegades welcome the Weber WBBL|10 fixture, to be announced by the Big Bash this morning.

As part of a revamped 10-game regular season, the Melbourne Renegades will host four massive home games at CitiPower Centre across three weekends, including a Saturday-Sunday (2-3 November) double-header against the Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers.

The Renegades will be in the thick of it from day one with an opening-round fixture at the Adelaide Oval against the Sydney Sixers on October 27, as part of an expanded Stadium Series which will also see us take on the old foe at the MCG in one of two RMIT Melbourne derbies in WBBL|10.

We host our arch enemy the Stars at the CitiPower Centre on Saturday, November 9, before stepping foot on the 'G for the second-round bout on Friday, November 15.

Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said:

"The Renegades are delighted with our WBBL fixture which will see us showcase our new-look team to our fans in Melbourne on four consecutive weekends," he said.

"That Saturday-Sunday afternoon combo against the Scorchers and Strikers will be big days of family fun with brilliant cricket played out in the middle of CitiPower Centre / Junction Oval.

"And to play in two Stadium Series matches - one at the Adelaide Oval and, of course, one at the MCG against our rivals the Stars - is really exciting for our Club, especially that Stars game at the ‘G. It was a big occasion last year and will be bigger and better this year.

We get two matches against the Stars and look forward to those always-heated battles.

— James Rosengarten, Melbourne Renegades General Manager
