The Melbourne Renegades will make the trip north for the annual Top End T20 Series in Darwin.
Renegades confirmed for Top End Series
The Melbourne Renegades will join a throng of international and domestic academy teams in the upcoming Top End T20 Series in Darwin.
As confirmed by Northen Territory Cricket last week, the series will expand to a nine-team tournament with Big Bash rivals Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers as well as Tassie Tigers joining the party.
The ACT Comets and the Stars (boooo!) will again head for their respective domestic terminals for the trip north while Bangladesh A and Pakistan A - nicknamed the Shaheens - round out the international contingent.
All will be out to upset defending champs and home-town favourites NT Strike in the marquee event which showcases Australia's next gen looking to progress their domestic and international cricket.
Last year, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Will Sutherland lit up the Top End T20 before springboarding into massive Big Bash seasons before earning themselves international debuts during the summer.
Kicking off on Friday, August 9, this year's tournament will feature 30 games in 10 days with across multiple venues. Each team will play six fixtures during the round robin ahead of the finals.
The Renegades begin their 2024 Top End campaign against (surprise, surprise) the Stars on August 10.
Squads and information on how to watch the tournament will be announced shortly.
