Nominations open for Big Bash drafts

Nominations for the KFC BBL|14 and Weber WBBL|10 Overseas Player Drafts are now open.

The world's best players will be soon throwing their snapbacks in the ring for a chance to be snapped up in this year's drafts, with clubs keen to boost their rosters with international talent.

The Melbourne Renegades have been able to secure some of word cricket's best T20 players and absolute fan favourites in drafts gone by including Quinton de Kock, Hayley Matthews, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Harmanpreet Kaur and Akeal Hosein.

Now in its third year, both drafts will have a different feel with team lists extended to now allow up to four overseas players, an increase of three in previous seasons. These spots will be filled with players selected in the drafts and a marquee signed under the Big Bash's newly introduced contract option which allows clubs to sign one international ahead of draft to a multi-year deal.

Keep an eye out on www.melbournerenegades.com.au and Melbourne Renegades socials for the latest player signings.

The first round of nominations plus the date and broadcast details for the Drafts will be announced soon.

The contracting window for KFC BBL|14 and Weber WBBL|10 is now open. Clubs can sign and trade domestic players, and sign one international per list on a multi-year contract.
