Finch finishes third in BBL|12 Player of the Tournament

The 36-year-old was superb across the year for the Renegades, blasting 428 runs across 15 matches, with an average of 38.9, including four half-centuries and a top score of 76 not out.

While his batting was instrumental for the Renegades as he led them to their first finals series in three years, Finch was also vitally important from a leadership role on-field following an ACL injury to Nic Maddinson.

The Australian T20 captain received 20 votes, only finishing behind behind Matthew Short and Josh Inglis from the Adelaide Strikers and the Perth Scorchers.

Renegades’ Sam Harper joined Finch in the votes, finishing equal 10th with 14 votes as he hit 264 runs at a strike-rate of 141.17, as well as 11 dismissals across his 12 games.

The votes are decided by both on-field umpires, who each give their 3-2-1 across all 56 KFC BBL|12 regular season games.
