Harvey optimistic of ‘Gades turnaround

“In the past couple of games, we’ve had patches of really good stuff, it’s just a couple of little things that have let us down,” Harvey told RSN Breakfast Club.

“Hopefully in the next couple of games, against the Hurricanes and the Sixers, we can really pull together a full game and show what our side can do.

“We believe we can beat the best and we need to pull that full game together.”

Harvey has been a superb asset opening the batting for the Gades this season, scoring 191 runs with an average of 47.75.

The support of the experienced players has been a key reason for Harvey’s breakout season.

“We’ve got Aaron Finch, the Aussie captain, and he’s been around for a while now and learning everything off him is absolutely amazing,” Harvey said.

“Even the internationals like Nabi and Reece Topley as well, learning how they prepare against other players from other countries.

“Just having those guys and learning off the experiences they’ve had can really help us younger guys as Renegades players.”

Harvey and the Renegades will be back in action tomorrow night against the Hobart Hurricanes at Marvel Stadium.
