One change for Sunday's WBBL

Sri Lanka star Chamari Athapaththu has been named in the squad as an international replacement player for English batter Tammy Beaumont.

Beaumont has been selected in the England squad to play a series of one-day and T20 matches against Pakistan in Malaysia beginning on December 9.

Danni Wyatt, meanwhile, has also been named in the England squad but remains in the Renegades squad to play against the Thunder on Sunday.

Both Wyatt and Beaumont will be unavailable for the finals should the Renegades qualify.

Athapaththu has a formidable limited overs record at international level, having scored 113 from 66 balls in a Twenty20 International for Sri Lanka against Australia at North Sydney Oval earlier this year.

Only weeks later, she made 103 in a losing cause against Australia in a one-day international at Allan Border Field.

Beaumont has made a magnificent contribution to the Renegades in her first season in red, averaging 23.08 from 13 innings while batting at No. 3.

Sunday’s match continues the Renegades’ Big Weekend at the CitiPower Centre, with two WBBL matches to be played at the venue. The ‘Gades will meet the Thunder at 10.40am, while the Melbourne Stars will host the Brisbane Heat at 3pm.

Tickets are just $10 for adults and $5 for concession, while kids under the age of 17 enter free.
