Big names return for Saturday in Sydney

Captain Aaron Finch and paceman Kane Richardson have returned from their three-match ODI mission to India, while wicketkeeper-batsman Brayden Stepien comes into the squad to replace injured Sam Harper.

Young paceman Zak Evans rounds out the four additions to the 13-man squad. It is the first time he has been named in the squad this season after overcoming a back injury.

A product of Bendigo, Stepien has plundered runs for Carlton in Premier Cricket this season. He is averaging 51.67 runs from 11 matches in the Premier Firsts, and showcased his big-hitting credentials when he struck 62 runs from a mere 19 balls earlier this week in the Vic Super Slam Renegades Conference final against Northcote.

While Harper will miss with concussion, Shaun Marsh’s season has come to an end courtesy of a hamstring injury sustained in the loss to the Hobart Hurricanes on Tuesday evening.

Opener Marcus Harris and paceman Andrew Fekete have also missed a place in the travelling party.

Nathan McSweeney, originally a replacement player for Richardson, remains eligible for selection while Jake Fraser-McGurk is away with the Australian Under 19 squad in South Africa.

Saturday’s match will be broadcast live nationally on Fox Cricket. The Renegades' next home match will be held on Monday afternoon at Marvel Stadium against the Brisbane Heat. Tickets for Monday's match can be purchased online through Ticketmaster or at the gate.
