"I am really pleased to be joining the Renegades for the next 3 years,” Maddinson said.
“I have really enjoyed my time playing BBL in Melbourne and I’m excited that I can continue that journey wearing red. I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to contribute on the field and help push the team towards BBL finals. I’m also looking forward to supporting some of the younger guys around the squad as they continue to develop,” Maddinson said.

“Under the leadership of Sophie Molineux, the squad has an exciting mix youngsters and senior players. I know the Renegades are keen to put themselves in finals contention again and hopefully be the first of the Melbourne teams to lift the WBBL trophy. At a personal level I’m looking forward to working with our coach Simon Helmot and making a positive impact in red.”
Renegades BBL Head Coach David Saker said Maddinson would bolster the club’s experienced top order.
“We’re really pleased to have Nic on board with us for the years ahead,” Saker said.
